Dear. Loving. At Gate 18. Final call.

You are The Sudden Departure.

You've been in a lot of serious relationships. More than a few have ended ugly. Uglily. Whatever. Our guess is that you're a really fantastic girl who doesn't really know what she wants, and you've broken a few hearts as a result. You fall for people easily, and you enjoy the feeling of falling in love, but once you're there, either boredom or the old "grass is greener" syndrome sets in. The mind wanders, and with it goes the flesh. And then the toiletries.

                           Your exact opposite:
The Intern

Deliberate Gentle Sex Dreamer

We know you're not the classic "love 'em and leave 'em" type, at least not in a purely sexual sense. You have too many serious bonding tendencies for that. But even though you're theoretically looking to settle down, you don't settle long on one person. "Serial monogamist" is probably something you hear a lot. "Emotionally loose" is another way to put it. To the poor guys eating your dust and sniffing your panties, it doesn't really make much difference. Of course, it's not really your fault that people get hurt. You have every right to move on when you choose.

ALWAYS AVOID: The Backrubber, The Gentleman

CONSIDER: The Vapor Trail, someone just like you

Link: The 32-Type Dating Test by OkCupid - Free Online Dating.
My profile name: createamative

Our mail service is shitty. Yes, I know, most USPS service is shitty, but ours is like a fuckin warzone.

On Monday, at about 5 or so, Brooke and I hear this loud thump on the door. We are both like, "WTF?" Brooke goes to investigate and finds the mail on our front porch. Apparently the mailman had just thrown the mail at the front door. Now, this isn't anything new. As a matter of fact it's pretty normal for things like this to happen. Our mail is often found in places it shouldn't be. Sometimes it is thrown in the back door of our building, sometimes by or on top of the trash cans in the alleyway, or my favorite, sitting on the front porch soaking in the rain. So having the mail thrown at our front door isn't that bad for our mail service.

So anyway, Brooke brings in the mail and goes through it. We find about 4 pieces of mail that go to other buildings. Again, this is not so rare. I often find myself doing the mailman's job and sorting and redelivering mail. I am really not sure what was different about this time, but when I started looking at the mail, I got a little pissed. Well, pissed enough to do something about it. I could have called and complained about the mailman, but that's been done before. Obviously didn't help much. So I decided to take matters into my own hands. I figured instead of talking to someone who would talk to someone who would talk to someone who would talk to our mailman about the problem I would just talk to him myself. So off I went down the block with the erroneously delivered mail in my hand catching up to the mailman who was almost at the end of the block. I caught up to him just as he was closing up his truck to leave, handed him the mail and said "This was delivered to the wrong building. This is your job, not mine." As I start walking away he asks where I live. LOL. Yea, so I can have my mail pissed on, right? I tell him it is not his concern and walk away. I didn't head toward my apartment because I noticed he was watching me, so I headed toward a building down the block. As I reached the building I was headed towards, I saw him climb into his truck and leave. Hope that mail I gave to him wasn't anything important because I know damn well it didn't get delivered that day. So I go a roundabout way home just in case. I get back and find out Brooke had watched the whole thing from the sidewalk. She thought my assertiveness was sexy. :-)

The story continues the next day, Tuesday. Our mail is delivered in the same state as usual, thrown on our porch and many letters for other buildings. The weird thing happens later, at about 9:40 at night. At this time there is a knock on our door. I answer it and it is some guy I have never seen before. He hands me a stack of mail and says, "Here, this is your mail. It was found thrown about the alley across the street." I in turn mumble something along the lines of, "oh great." I bring in the mail and look at it. None of it is for this building, the guy brought it to the wrong building. As I look closer I notice it is the mail for the building I walked towards after my confrontation with the mailman. So I suppose the mailman decided to take his revenge on me by throwing what he thought would be my mail into the alley. This is crazy. The mail was pretty beat up. It was obvious that several cars had driven over much of the mail and most of the mail was important stuff such as gas bills, electric bills, bank statements, and I think there was a Comcast bill in there. So here I go again, on my way to do the mailman's job. I sorted the mail yesterday because there were a couple of pieces of mail that belong to another building. Now today I have to deliver it and tell them why their mail is fucked up. I think I am leaving out the part about me yelling at the mailman and walking towards their building. What fun.

And on a lighter and less frustrating note, I think Brooke and I are going to Beef's place to game tonight. I am really excited. I have only been involved in 2 campaigns before, but neither of them were really serious gaming. We were supposed to go over there last night, but there was major cleaning to be done, and a little mishap with an electrical socket falling apart. All in all our room is looking much better and we changed things around so the setup is much better too. I am happy with it.

Alex is the coolest guy in the world and he needs cheering up so this entry will be ALL ABOUT ALEX! Lets start from the beginning...

*crazy flashback effect*

I met Alex last summer...my first memory of hanging out with Alex...his head in a bucket. So anyway, last summer Mary's friend JustN moved in upstairs. This was exciting because there was going to be yet another person we knew living in the building. When I noticed him moving in, I asked Mary if anyone was living with him. Mary told me that his boyfriend Alex was moving in too. I had never heard of this mysterious Alex fellow. I wanted to meet him and at our next party, I got my opportunity. Too bad I didn't get to talk to him much. He got sick almost immediately and shoved his head in a bucket. Well it was summer and we were all drunk so we decided to hang out outside for a bit and we all left Alex in Cezar and Tim's apartment. We come back a couple of hours later and Alexis still passed out in his bucket leaning against the table. Nowadays he doesn't so much pass out in a bucket as he does pass out on our floor. But that's just our awesome Alex.

So a couple of months pass and Brooke and I get really close to Alex. Then comes the JustN/Alex breakup...dun dun dun...but I am not getting into that...sad crazy story. Good news...Alex and JustN are good now...it's all in the past. And now back to the present...

*/crazy flashback effect*

So Alex is really great. He passes out on our floor, we cook food for each other, he can see how thoughts are processed...he is so fuckin' awesome. Alex is sad now because of a recent breakup. Ya know what...I didn't like him...he was complaining about how Alex never talked to his friends and got to know them when they all hung out. I am Alex's friend and WHERE THE HELL WAS HIS BOYFRIEND?!?! I saw his bf once this summer...that is all. So that "You never talked around my friends" line is bullshit! But anyway, back to Alex...this guy is pretty fucked up when it comes to relationships and really messed with Alex...he can be way happier and better off without him. He is a really great guy. I love you Alex! You are a great friend!

P.S. - Alex get yo ass down here. We gots to talk about dinner plans tomorrow.

I Love Kim! She is the bestest! Mary, Brooke and I helped her move into her new place today. It's awesome! It's really nice and in a great area. After helping her move in we went to Clarke's and ate. It was good food. I also got to meet her new girlfriend Katie. She is really nice and a WHOLE LOT better than the others. I usually don't get along with Kim's girlfriends. I keep thinking, "Oh, that was a nice visit. I hope we could do that again sometime." but OMG she lives here now. I don't have to worry about the next time I see her 'cuz she is so close!

Rain sucks! Krystal is coming over tonight and she probably has to walk here in the rain. That sucks. I have no clue what is going on tonight, so I am just gonna chill for a while. I am exhausted from the moving and walking in the rain all day.

Brookie is cute.
In order to attend a business lunch at IIT I have devised a back story for Brooke to tell the coordinator.
My back story for the people at IIT:
I was living in South Africa and was raised by a pack of zebras as one of their own. One day a pride of lions attacked my zebra family and ever since then I have been plotting revenge on the lions. I was found by a traveler and taken to civilization when i was 17 where it was found out that I am a mathematical genius. As a child I did complex mathematical equations in the dirt with a stick. I am still planning on getting revenge on the lions that took the only family I ever knew.

All about Kim

I feel so loved! So many people responded to my last update that I am inspired to write a little more. What I am excited about right now: KIM! Kim is coming! Kim is coming! And not just a visit, she is MOVING here. I will tell everyone the story of Kim...
I happened a long time ago in a far away land called Milwaukee. It was my first year of college way back in 2001. It was a year of sad endings and new beginnings. I'm not going to get into the sad endings part, but Kim was definitely a wonderful new beginning. I was living in the dorms at Marquette and it was at the start of the school year. I had a huge corner room all to myself because my roommate, being 21 years old, moved into an apartment close by. So one day I hear rumors of problems on 4E(our dorm floor). I heard that a girl living in a quad room has been singled out for being gay. I was a little outraged, so I decided to try and contact her about it. I figured that I had enough space in my room for 2 people and I would definitely not treat her like shit for being gay. So the game of dry erase board tag began. It took like 5 messages back and forth between us before we actually got together. We talked and became friends. She didn't want to move in though...I suppose she figured she would work things out with her roommates. It was funny though, because she was in my room constantly and was slowly moving all her stuff there. One day we decided that she really should move in...hell, half her stuff was there anyway. So began the overnight move-in. And so began the long friendship between me and Kim.

Now on the the next part of my story...the hotel/interview...
I don't remember exactly when, but I think sometime in November, Kim had an interview with the IRS up in Schaumburg. She was getting a hotel up there so she invited Brooke and I to stay the night with her. It was a great time. We hung out in the hot tub, watched TV, Kim studied(yea, she had to study for an interview). The next day, after the free breakfast and Kim's interview, she was telling everyone how horribly she did. Brooke and I felt bad. Then, Kim came to our place and partied and went home the next day. Just recently she found out that she got the IRS job and she is moving to Chicago! I was so happy I almost cried. Kim and I will be invincible again now that the distance is not weakening our combined powers! She is moving up by boistown...that's pretty fuckin' cool. It's just a red line trip away.

And that, my friends, is the story of Kim. Now, to illustrate this adventure...

At Marquette

This is my corner of our dorm room. It was clean and that was a rare occasion.

Our fun group in the dorm hall. Angela, Melissa, Me, and Kim.

Kim on her computer.

Our skiing trip. Me, Kim, Marie, and Melissa. Sadly, Angela was cut out of this photo.

After Marquette

Ski trip in Michigan...we tried snowboarding.

Great America trip!

Kim and Z in Cezar's apartment.

UPDATE!!!

So many people have been waiting for my update and now that I am updating, I don't know what to say. I went to Arizona after Christmas. I guess that is something cool to update about. Arizona was really fun. I got drunk in a hot tub and it was in the 70s and 80s the whole time I was there. I was in Oklahoma riding in a car listening to country music when midnight came on new years. Yea, that was depressing. But it was fun surprising Brooke when I got back. I told her I wouldn't be home till the 3rd or 4th of January, but I got back the 1st. The look on her face was priceless...she was so shocked.

Not a whole lot has been going on since then. I've been job searching still. Mary and I went out on job searching adventures today. We went over to Aldi and walked in and asked for applications. We went out in the car to fill them out when the security guard came by. When he was walking to the car, both me and Mary freaked a little. I thought he was gonna yell at us for something and Mary locked the car doors. We are so weird. He came up to the car and Mary rolled down the window and he just started telling Mary how she should find out which Aldi is hiring because the one we were at wasn't hiring and would just throw our applications away. Yea, why give us applications if you are just gonna throw them away? Anyway, he was very helpful and even gave us a number to call. The Target adventure was more depressing. I spent about an hour filling out the application at a kiosk and when I am finished the screen tells me to pick up the phone sitting next to the screen and when someone answers to tell them that I just completed an application. So I did and I was mad afterwards. The lady on the other end told me that they weren't hiring and that i MIGHT get a call from them in April sometime. WTF!?!? Yea, that was a waste of time. I would have gone and applied somewhere else if I would have known that to begin with.

In other news, Brooke took down the Christmas tree today. I'm a little sad...I like Christmas trees.

Yesterday was mine and Brooke's 3-year anniversary! We went to Uno's pizza and to see King Kong. Great pizza and great movie. I would suggest both to anyone. Also, at the movie theatre we saw someone famous, but I didn't know who it was so it isn't that exciting. Our only guess is that it was someone from the movie "Something New" considering she was going to a private screening of that movie.

So to everyone who has been bugging me to update, here ya go! I'll even leave you with some...

Me and my awesome sister! She rocks!

In New Mexico on the way to Arizona.

At a rest stop in New Mexico. This rest stop sucked! I went to use the washroom and I decided against it because of the stainless steel toilets without toilet seats.

This is a gay man's version of the female anatomy.

My sexy ass computer! Look at that AWESOME banana box case!

Merry Fuckin' Christmas! Naughty Alex. Don't you like how the female anatomy is placed atop the tree? Brooke says this is the best picture ever and that it should be our Christmas card for next year.
